Online Therapy for Adults experiencing overwhelm due to relationship issues, people-pleasing tendencies, intense emotional responses, or planned or unforeseen change in San Francisco, Bay Area and Los Angeles, CA.

If you feel burnt out, somewhat aimless, or disconnected it’s time to come back to center.

Hi, I am Marcelle and I offer holistic psychotherapy and modalities to help you embody your yeses and no’s, essentially your intuition, to feel more connected to yourself and your purpose in life in the midst of change, turmoil, and self-doubt.

Marcelle Little

You have reached your threshold for over giving. You are going through change at lightening-speed with little or no support or relief. You want more out of life but you…

  • Doubt yourself especially when ‘pressured’ by others.

  • Criticize yourself when you make a ‘mistake’ and may even think it’s the end of the world.

  • Feel isolated and find it difficult to relate to others and perhaps criticized for being ‘sensitive.’

  • Can’t adjust to the life change and perhaps always had a difficult time whether it was the first day of school or work, transitions are hard.

  • Feel stuck in your career or relationship and don’t know how to get out or question whether it is you or them.

  • Are disconnected from your life’s purpose and find the day-to-day difficult; if not, completely meaningless.

  • Experience low self-worth or confidence.

  • Are drained, and are hopeless about your relationship or career.

  • Find it difficult to concentrate, at times overwhelmed with emotions.

Life is becoming too overwhelming. I can help.

You care deeply, but aren’t always in the most supportive environments, personally or professionally. You question yourself often and might even feel like an imposter. You are grounded but this life transition is pulling the rug out beneath you. It’s hard to not take it personally and listen to those negative thoughts, anxiety further instills them

I provide holistic online psychotherapy for anxious “givers,” sensitive seekers, and overwhelmed adults who are going through a major life change. You’re over it, no more people pleasing and feeling too raw from the emotions and equally feeling unsupported as you navigate the transition. I provide individualized tools that enable you to embody change from the inside out. People who work with me feel calmer, more compassionate, and connected with their unapologetic and resilient selves.

Areas of Guidance

  • Are you experiencing anxiety or depression but are not entirely sure where it is stemming from? Or, maybe you have but it persists? I draw upon various orientations that cultivates inner trust to better understand what the anxiety or depression is saying. It is shown that when we befriend our emotional states we have better outcomes. This is based on Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, and Self-Compassion orientations.

  • Are relationships causing you distress, preventing you from connecting? Or maybe you are not feeling emotionally safe in your relationships? Are you the giver in relationships and have a difficult time receiving? Or perhaps you are not entirely sure how to communicate effectively with your partner, friend, or family member? First, we collaborate to assess the dynamic, what the triggers are, and how to assert your truth or needs in a kind, non-defensive, and clear way.

  • Are you wanting to create a new narrative to your personal reality? Do you want to know how to distinguish between your internal experience and the experience of another? Many failed attempts of trying to ‘fit in’ or ‘fix, rescue,’ often causes us to give our power away and reach for external validation. This can feel exhausting. You will learn how to tend to yourself versus sacrificing yourself for another.

  • My belief is that we all have experienced some sort of trauma whether it is chronic or acute. The vicious cycle of repeating the same experience over and over again, whether in the mind or physically, is exhausting, not to mention harmful. Through a trauma-informed approach, we take it slow to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, our calm state, to change the chemistry in our mind and body. Learning self-regulating techniques is helpful to integrate the experience through the use of the body, somatic therapy, as well as other trauma-informed approaches that I am trained in including EMDR and the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM).

  • Are you sensitive, overwhelmed, fatigued, or have you been called ‘too sensitive’ or ‘shy?’ Do you feel overwhelmed by other people’s emotional states or life in general? This can involve feeling the emotions of other people or noticing physical sensations in the body. I am here to support you to build healthy boundaries while cultivating your intuition so that you can trust and believe in yourself and view your sensitivity as a gift.

  • Are you going through a major life change, and want some guidance on how to navigate the abrupt shifts? Do you want more out of life? Or maybe you are in a painful relationship or setting and you don’t know how to get out? Perhaps you were impacted by a loss. You don’t have to go through this change on your own, I am here to guide you through this process.

  • Through my own journey that encompassed a lot of pain, by facing my own suffering head on utilizing mindfulness-based practices, I discovered so much about myself. What I learned through a committed meditation practice, was life changing. I learned to witness my inner life with less judgement and more compassion and develop a more secure relationship with myself so that I could tolerate and tend to my own pain. Although meditation is thought to be a practice of clearing our minds, I will give you tools and skills to walk you through a process of integrating different states of being so that you can have more balance, compassion, coherence, and gratitude.

  • If you are an American citizen or were born in the U.S. and are living abroad within Europe, I may be able to support you depending on which country that you are based. I am registered with two U.K. counselling associations and I am happy to explore working with you. I have firsthand experiencing living abroad and understand the difficulties that this can pose.
